Generation 1: The College Years

Preston Wellington came from humble beginnings. His mother had abandoned him as a baby and he had spent his childhood being shuffled from one foster home to another. He wasn't a bad child, just extremely full of life. Nothing was too high, too far or too off-limits. His foster parents always adored him but just couldn't afford the doctor's bills that came with him. A broken collar bone, three broken arms, ribs cracked twice...there was always an ambulance ready when Preston was around.
But he was grown now. His last foster mother had helped him get a schlorship for orphaned children and he was breaking out on his own. University started in just two days and he was ready for it.
The days before classes started were filled with excitement as new students arrived for the first time and the older ones returned. During the days, you could hear the horns of the Professors old broken-in cars honking at the newer ones that parents had bought to bribe their children into attending. During the nights, dorms were lit up with partying young adults enjoying their first tastes of freedom. Preston, who had always had his freedom in a sense, was now responsible for himself as well. This allowed him much more time to do what he wanted and during those first few nights, he raced to join the other kids.

But once classes started, he fell right into line. Preston studied hard not only for his grades but also for his life. He never got less than an A in any of his classes and always aced his mid-terms. His social life was put on hold, but he always seemed to be in the third floor study area anytime Alison was in her room. Just in case she decided to walk down to the cafeteria or needed to brush her teeth.

He did allow himself a little time for fun. Especially after writing term papers. He was embarrassed to tell anyone but he was addicted to a computer game. Not a game like most men liked, but a girlie game. He controlled the lives of these little simulated people. Told them when to eat, sleep, and kiss. In a sense, he played God for this little computer world. Maybe he felt his own life wasn't being helped out by a higher force and he needed to know one was there.

About mid way through his Sophmore year, Preston decided he needed to get going on life studies. He wanted to make sure when he graduated that he was REALLY ready to be on his own. So he went out to the campus lounge and found they were looking for a bassist. Now Preston had never touched a guitar, much less played one. But they took him for his charm and gave him a shot. After a couple of weeks, he was able to play on the lounge stage with the band and actually get paid for it.

With the money he earned on stage, he bought a used florist's bench and started learning how to arrange the flowers. Pretty soon he was bringing in the big bucks from his custom made snap dragon arrangements. All the kids were wanting them, something up not falling asleep while writing their term papers.

Preston earned enough money from his snap dragons to buy a robotics bench. He started out making little toy robots but soon came up with a more advanced robot. Making sure to stay in the college market, he programmed it to bring back food when it's owner got hungry. It was an instant hit and sales around campus skyrocketted.

Too soon, his years at University were over. Preston had done good, graduating with honors for maintaining a 4.0 throughout his four years. With two gold badges, he felt ready to make it on his own in the world. It was a good thing too because he wasn't given much choice. Two weeks after graduation, his 23rd birthday came and it was time to move on.

Generation 1: Moving In

Okay, forget the nice story. ROFL.

So, Preston moved back into the neighborhood and we started his house.

I took all the money he received in college, bought statues and then sold them once he got settled in so we could have some nice stuff. Well, maybe not nice, but necessary. This is the livingroom.

Kitchen/Dining Room

And Bedroom. So who did Preston buy the nice big bed for?

Think about it, seriously. If some girl is coming around a single guy's house, cleaning in a French Maid's outfit, of course he's going to get ideas. So Arianna (the maid) and Preston start playing nice.

Before long, she had moved into the house and making herself at home. Look at Preston in that tux! Wonder where they're going? And is Arianna going in her maid outfit?

Of course not. She looks pretty good after her make over. I made sure to keep Preston happy too.

Arianna looks thrilled, maybe she doesn't like people ordering for her.

Yeah, I think Preston's making up for it. I had never tried proposing while they were sitting down so I took the opportunity to do so. This was the surprise proposal.

Yeah, she's surprised.

She looks a little disappointed at the size. Jeez, lady, he just got out of college!

Well, at least she's happy over the engagement.

Well, let's not rush into anything! Here's the wedding pics.

So on to the wedding night.

Strangely the wedding bells, sounded like a lullabye.

Okay, honeymoon's over. Preston got up the next day and immediately got a job in the medical field.

The new maid doesn't seem to like Arianna. Maybe she thinks that had she been a little faster about taking this job, she'd be the one hiring the new maid. Sorry honey, not with those features.

Arianna's expecting already. When I edited the pics (the first 89) I had a scrapbook theme in mind that I don't know if I'm going to continue because like the story, it takes forever.

And here's baby Allysa. Looks like she got her dad's genetics.

And here she is pregnant with her second child. I decided I wanted male heirs only. God help me, I'm going to have a ton of kids running around. I can just see it now.

Allysa grows to toddler. She didn't turn out too bad!

This picture was mainly taken just to show off her outfit. My daughter loves to download toddler and children's outfits so I have a ton.

Meet Whiskars and Jungle, the start of my Pet Legacy.

And here's the second child, Allyson. Guess we've got to try again for that boy.

Allyson grows to toddler. She also got dad's genetics, but she's not as cute.

I think Maxis did a great job with the pets and toddlers! This picture was too cute.

It's even better from the other angle!

Hopefully THIS one will be a boy!

And Allysa becomes a child.

FINALLY, we have a boy! Here's the Generation 2 heir, Bryant.

Allyson grows to child.

Don't laugh, those lips took a LONG time to get right. That was all freehand with the spraybrush tool.

OH YEAH! We're doing a challenge. I almost forgot. Okay, here we see the gardener. Why she locked herself into a single room without doors and windows, we may never know.

Yeah, that's what I would be dreaming of too, right about now.

And here's the first death of our challenge: It was the Gardener in the locked room, by starvation!

Miracle, Gen. 2 of the pet legacy, must have really liked the gardener.

Bryant grows to child and seems to be taking after his dad already.

Allysa grows to teen. Unfortunately, the make up I always liked before, REALLY shows up well with my new graphics card. This is actually the same eye makeup Arianna has on. I don't know why it shows up so much more on Allysa. But I loved the pic. She's actually reaching to plump her pillow but it looks like a personal message to me.

And here's our little kitten Miracle all grown up. She turned out really pretty, wait til you get to see her baby!

I really hope Bryant grows up looking better!

I adopted Miracle's future mate, who seems to have in-law problems. Look at the fur fly!

Sweets won the fight. Don't laugh at my money signs, you try doing those freehand with a paintbrush!

My first ghost!

And Preston becomes an elder.

What a way to spend your retirement. Okay, I have about 25 more pics that I've already editted but DH is pouting because I'm hogging the computer. You would think with me out of the house four days a week, he'd have plenty of time. Guess you'll just have to wait to see Bryant grow up.

In the next episode: The kitchen burns to the ground, Bryant grows up, an evil kite, Headmaster moves in, and a business opens.
